ENGINE TEST CELL

Engine test buildings located in the Netherlands and Norway. FACES has been involved in architectural, structural, civil and geothecnical engineering. The main challange was to develop an adequate design, able to satisfy specific thermal and acoustic insulation requirements, as well as safety and confidentiality requirements.

The "main building" is composed by test bay, primary air intake, secondary cooling air intake and ancillary spaces. Special electric and mechanical equipments have been required.

For all the previous reasons, such building is an example of functional building, where the architectural design serves other engineering services and local standards.
